Sprintcar champions hit track

Sprintcars are set to return to Borderline Speedway for round 2 of the Easter Sprintcar Trail.

The dirt is set to fly on Saturday night after racing at Geelong’s Avalon Speedway the night prior.

Some big names have been nominated, including newly crowned Australian champion Jock Goodyer, 2023 Grand Annual winner Brock Hallet, New South Wales champion Marcus Dumnsey and V8 supercar driver Cam Waters.

Also nominated are local drivers Glenn Sutherland, Daniel Petska along with Luke Dillon, Tasmania’s Tate Frost and Tim Hutchins.

The program also includes the late models for the first time this season with 11 cars entered, and it will be night one of two for the V8 Monsters who are sure to deliver some good racing.

A couple of drivers to look out for will be Matt Crimmins, Brock Edward, Chevy Edwards and Tassie’s Brad Smith.

The program will also include the mighty V8 super rods and these cars will on night two of their three-night program, with 14 nominated.

Current Victorian number one Jacob Pitcher will be out to race the high banks along with Jamie May, Troy Kelly, Stan Marco (snr), Stan Marco (jnr) and an extensive list of capable drivers.

Gates will open at 4pm and racing to get under way at 5pm, with the night also featuring Easter fireworks.
