Chase Randall
Texan teenager Chase Randall is jumping right into the deep end of Australian Sprintcar racing.
The eighteen-year-old from Waco is making his debut Down Under appearance this summer with the DKM Motorsport Team out of Pakenham Victoria and he’s headed straight to the Clay-per-view Sprintcars Speedweek Series.
Four different tracks he’s never been to in seven days?
No problem.
The versatile Randall, who has had a fantastic season in the USA in 2022 in both winged and non-wing competition has his dad Jon on the tools along with Danny Mayson and the DKM Team and the operation is ready to rip.
“This is a dream come true for our family and our team,” says DKM Principal Danny Mayson, “we have always wanted to field an American driver in one of our cars and now it’s happening with Chase.
“The kid is a jet. We cannot wait.”
The DKM team is armed to the teeth with go fast goodies for the Texan.
“Chase has just come off a really great season in the US and he’ll hit the ground running when he and his family arrive in Australia soon.
They work really hard on being successful with their program back in Texas and I know they’re already planning on continuing their good form down here.
I speak to Chase’s Dad Jon (Randall) daily and he’s very determined to make Chase’s first trip in Australia a success.”
With an A-Main win haul in the double digits for 2022 already the kid they call ‘The Quickest Chicken’ will add some serious wild card appeal to the www.clayperview.com Sprintcars Speedweek Series.
Brock Hallett
Versatile wheel-man Brock Hallett is in superb form.
And he is coming for all four rounds of the 2022/2023 Clay-Per-View Sprintcars Speedweek.
The Queensland born, Portland Victoria based gasser who drives for the Withcott (QLD) GW Racing Team for Graeme, Wendy and Laurie Erhart just picked up his second win of the season at Eastern Creek Speedway last Saturday night.
The former multiple Australian F500 Champion has been a livewire since joining the Sprintcar ranks in 2015 and now teaming up with the GW Racing Team he is even more of a force to be reckoned with.
His speed at ECS this season and anywhere else he is chanced his hand at is proof.
“We have got a good thing going right now,” says proud GW Racing co-founder Graeme Erhardt, “we are excited about coming on the road and doing Speedweek.
Brock is always fast at those venues, and we feel like we have got a shot at winning.
The team is really gelling right now, and Brock is driving brilliantly.”
The Murray Bridge Speedweek opener will always be a happy hunting ground for Hallett who shot to prominence with World Series Sprintcars victory there in 2019/2020 and really made a statement to his rivals and fans about his emergence within the sport.
Driving the Ferguson Diesel / Alan Miller Training Triple X with support from
Keiser Wheels, Slade Shocks, and Shock Lab and with the engine program humming thanks to Scott at Inglis Race Engines Brock Hallett has every chance to win the 2022/2023 Clay-Per-View Sprintcars Speedweek.
He will have particularly happy memories of Round One when he turns up to Murray Bridge Speedway on December 26.
Corey McCullagh
2018 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic winner Corey McCullagh is keen to hit the road and grab some chequers in all four rounds of the 2022/2023 Clay-Per-View Sprintcars Speedweek.
McCullagh will bring his stunning #V90 Southwest Conveyancing / Smith & Sons entry into the Speedweek Series battle armed with some raw excitement for travel and more importantly getting some laps in.
With over $150,000 in prize and points money the incentives are clear for some of the top Aussie and even possible traveling Americans to take on Speedweek.
“We’re excited to go finally go racing and hopefully snag some good results,” says the new proud father of newborn son Bentley.
There’s no doubt the Warrnambool hard charger’s sentiments are shared by many teams who have been itching to flip the switch and go racing in what has been a frustrating non-start to the season so far due to the unseasonal bad weather.
The sight of the immaculate V90 in the line-up for all four nights of Speedweek is sure to gladden the hearts of race-fans and promoters alike.
McCullagh is definitely one of the dark horses for the overall series victory regardless of which names follow his on the entry list.
Jamie Veal
He is one of the most well-travelled and widely sought-after drivers in Australian Sprintcar racing.
And he is locked in for all four nights of the $150,000 Clay-Per-View Sprintcars Speedweek Series over Christmas-New Year from Murray Bridge to his hometown of Warrnambool.
Jamie Veal has been the ‘super sub’ in between running his own #35 SWI Maxim driving for Sprintcar heavyweight teams Dyson Motorsport and Monte Motorsport in recent outings, but he will return to the #35 for Speedweek.
Between Chariots of Thunder in Darwin, Archerfield, Sydney, Toowoomba, Murray Bridge, Mount Gambier, and The Perth Motorplex outside his native Victoria the former Australian Champion has done his share of kilometers to compete across the nation since becoming Australia #1 in 2020.
The Warrnambool wizard will add some more significant star and fan appeal to the line-up as he contests all four nights of Speedweek to fish for his share of the $150,000 on offer.
Veal has won at all of the Speedweek venues over the years and the 2016 Classic and WSS winner has proven there are no home track advantages when the black #35 rolls into the pits over his state borders.
His addition to Speedweek is sure to set tongues wagging.
Is this your Series winner?
Lockie McHugh
Blisteringly fast. Able to win without notice. And with a Garrett motor that can pull the bend out of a river.
That’s Lockie McHugh and he’s locked in for all four nights of the Clay-Per-View Sprintcars Speedweek Series.
The 2022 Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic winner is in his third season with the Clay-per-view / Western Truck Group / SEDL Civil / Dondex / Wash It Australia – My New Drive NQ#7 team.
This might be another sizzling summer for the 24-year-old Gold Coaster wheeling his Cool Chassis.
In 2020/2021 in his debut season with the team he won twenty races including the Kings Challenge at Mount Gambier and the ‘not the Classic’ Warrnambool event.
The year after he set Quick time, won both his heats, won the preliminary A-Main and the next night annexed the Grand Annual Sprintcar Classic A-Main.
He was dominant. To prove it was not a fluke he beat Jamie Veal ‘at home’ at Premier in a later season A-Main.
He recently won the Chariots of Thunder Series and now comes into Speedweek armed to the teeth.
McHugh’s inclusion into the www.clayperview.com Sprintcars Speedweek lights the fuse on a powder keg already including Veal, McCullagh, Hallett and Randall (USA) named so far.
Stand back.
