State leaders lobbied

High-level figures in health and transport will be lobbied in Adelaide next month by a delegation from Wattle Range Council.

Mayor Des Noll and chief executive Ben Gower will have face to face meetings with Health Minister Chris Picton and Department of Transport and Infrastructure chief executive John Whelan.

There had been a meeting scheduled between Mayor Noll and Minister Picton in Mount Gambier several months ago but it was cancelled at short notice.

The mayor said he was keen to raise the issue of availability of GP services with Minister Picton. Meanwhile, the $18m rebuild of a 30km section of the Southern Ports Highway will be on the agenda for the talks with Mr Whelan.
