It was a busy first term at Tenison Woods College which saw a number of students graduate from the Academy of Hospitality Class of 2023.
Graduates celebrated their hard work and enthusiasm over two years of training by sharing a morning tea and ceremony in the Sugarloaf Café at the college in week eight.
Students have trained in the Tenison Woods College VET Certificate II Hospitality Program, commencing their studies in 2022.
Students gained their assessed hours of competency across many contexts including community engagement opportunities, regular scheduled preparation and service sessions in the Sugarloaf Café and participation in many college catering activities.
Tenison Woods College VET Academy of Hospitality teacher Jen McCourt said the students worked across a range of immersive industry opportunities within the college and the wider community.
“As a training team we are always very excited to see students rise in not just skills and employability but also in their personal capacity and confidence.”
The college said the students should be very proud of their individual achievements and personal growth over the last two years and their outstanding efforts have allowed them to show their capacity as industry professionals with an awareness of strong work ethic and practice.
