Mount Gambier is set to host the 2023 SA Country Swimming Championships in early January at the new state-of-the-art Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre.
A passionate committee of 14 community-focused Mount Gambier locals involved in swimming have been working hard for months to ensure a successful event.
The committee is working on not only fine-tuning the elite swimming competition but is looking to showcase the region and provide sponsorship opportunities for local businesses to gain statewide exposure.
The 2023 championships will be the first event at Wulanda Recreation and Convention Centre, which is due to open next month.
It will be Mount Gambier’s first time hosting the championships since 2015, when they were held at the aquatic centre.
