Tantanoola fire destroys stolen car

Police are investigating a suspicious car fire at Tantanoola which was reported just before dawn yesterday morning.

At about 4.30am, police and the CFS were called to the intersection of Agricultural Bureau Drive and Alleyn’s Road after reports that a Holden Captiva 4WD was on fire.

The CFS quickly extinguished the blaze but the vehicle was completely destroyed.

Checks with the registered owner revealed the car had been stolen from Millicent sometime overnight.
