Tennis All Stars come out to play

Round 6 is set to be the Limestone Coast sporting event of the year with the State League All Stars hitting the courts at Lucindale Country Club on Saturday.

There is a line-up of events across both Friday and Saturday, hosted by the Naracoorte Lucindale Council in conjunction with the Lucindale Country Club to showcase the sport and tourism opportunities in our area.

Evening with the Stars: Hosted at the Naracoorte Caves, players from the South East and the State League players, along with the event’s sponsors will come together on Friday night for the team announcement in the spectacular Blanche Cave.

Junior Tennis: Saturday morning from 9am, all junior matches will take the court at Lucindale with the help of courtside coaching from the pros.

Our junior teams will also be allocated to Team Red or Team Blue with match results contributing to the overall Community Event winner for the day.

For the little ones, the Kids Zone will run all day.

Golf: For those less inclined to swing a racquet, and prefer a golf stick, the All Stars event also includes a 9-hole 4 Ball Better Ball Comp from 10am.

Register to play by contacting Jacki Baker on 0438 824 861.

SPTA Matches: Round 6 will be played across two days.

On Friday night under lights, Naracoorte will host Penola and Kingston will host the Robe Rebels.

Saturday afternoon matches will be played alongside the All Stars from 1pm.

Frances/Lucindale Eagles will host the Robe Roosters and the Lucindale Wombats will host the Beachport.

As with the juniors the senior teams will also be playing for Team Red and Team Blue, adding a little extra meaning to these matches.

The Main Event: The State League All Stars are scheduled to kick off at 11:30, which is sure to be a spectacle of top tier talent with some of the SA’s best players combining with the top talent from around the South East.

Eight Tennis SA State League players will join eight local tennis players to make two teams for the head-to-head which will feature singles, doubles and mixed doubles.

The Lucindale Country Club will have all your needs covered throughout the day with breakfast, lunch and a celebration dinner on offer.
