Thieves leave trail of unpaid fuel bills

Police are seeking information following a series of petrol drive offs across the state, including in the Limestone Coast.

Between Wednesday, October 20 and Friday, October 29 a silver Lexus sedan, with NSW registration CPS46Z, attended a number of petrol stations in Mount Gambier, Naracoorte, Keith, Strathalbyn, Mount Barker, Seaford and Morphett Vale, before filling up and driving away without making payment.

About 7pm on Saturday the Lexus was spotted driving in the Seaford Meadows area.

It was sighted a number of times by patrols, who did not pursue the vehicle, but called for the assistance of PolAir.

At 7.45pm patrols located the Lexus dumped in Nick Lane.

Investigations into the whereabouts of the driver are ongoing.

Anyone with information can contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or report online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au.
