Thieves torch stolen car

Police are investigating a suspicious car fire in Mount Burr over the weekend.

Just before 4am on Sunday patrols were called to the intersection of Overland Track and Mount Burr Road, after reports of a car on fire.

The Ford sedan, which was stolen from a Tantanoola address sometime between 6pm on Saturday and 12.01am on Sunday, was completely destroyed.

Investigations are continuing and anyone with information about the theft or subsequent fire is asked to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
