Demons v Tigers
Round six of the Limestone Coast Women’s Football League Under 16 competition will converge on Blue Lake Sports Park this Friday at 6pm.
The Demons on their home ground will host the Tigers in the first game, which looks set to be a battle of the fittest.
In recent weeks both teams have seen a lot of progress with players starting to find their feet and play a solid style of football.
The Tigers are running hot and are in form and will need to continue this coming into Friday night’s game against a fresh team in the Demons who had the bye last round.
For the Tigers to get the win they will need everyone to stick to the game plan that coach Fiona Young has set and will need players in Penny Coleman, Luca Roulstone, Grace Altschwager and Eadie Mustart to lead by example.
While for the Demons the home ground might provide some advantage but they will need to be on the ball with coach Tracy Eadie and listen to her instructions to get the win.
Ella Guest, Bailey Broome, Jarrah Altschwager and Sophie Wight will need to be on their game with support from their teammates.
This game will be a close one and will provide some entertaining football on the wide-open spaces of the ground.
Kongorong v Hatherleigh
The past couple of weeks have been tough for the Hawks, going down to the Demons in round four and then kept scoreless by the Tigers last week.
Coach Michael Dethmore will be pushing his players for more on the track and during the game.
While Hatherleigh is flying high in the competition, they must not become complacent on Friday night as on any given day the Hawks can play a winning brand of football.
Both teams will be hard at every contest and will need clear possessions to attack the goals.
Hatherleigh has some great footballers and leaders that stand up every week and will again look to Chloe Bellinger, Hannah Bellinger, Sebella Coghlan and Amber Chester to lead from the front.
The Hawks will need to be focused and do everything right and will need Sophie Longbottom, Jasmin McKinnon, Evie Sealey and Stevie Collins to combine and play their quality brand of football.
Again, this game could go either way in what will be a strong contest.
Kyby Tigers have the bye.
