There will be lots of string plucking in the Penola War Memorial Park on Saturday when there will be a giant ukulele jam.

The leading groups taking part are from Penola, Naracoorte and Beachport with some also coming from Willalooka and surrounds.

Organiser Annie Kilsby said she was expecting around 100 participants, plus more who would like to join in.

Everyone is welcome to join in and instruments are limited to ukuleles. It is BYO seats, stands and grey ukulele books.

Music will be from the ukulele grey books volumes one and two, however books will be limited.

The day will start at 10am and finish at 12.30pm and there will be a coffee van on-site.
