Unbeaten Centrals form continues

Division 1 – Centrals def Federals

Centrals continued their unbeaten run with a 29-0 win over Federals on Friday night in Mount Gambier and District Baseball League action.

With 16 safe hits to the Centrals team, it became out of reach for Federals who fought on valiantly despite the impressive score line.

The safe hits from Centrals were spread across eight players in Dylan Gull 3, Alex Ridding 3, Dylan Chuck 3, Koby Chant 2, Josh Chuck 1, Jordan Aston 1, Ethan Chuck 1, and Colby Muller 1.

Federals also managed to get some safe hits through the defence of the competition leaders, despite the tough opposition.

Alex Pearson, Nash Lobley, Roy Hutchinson and Matt Nicholls managed one each.

Centrals are a very strong and determined side and any team that does come up against them will have to be at their very best.

Tigers v South

This game was another one-sided game with Tigers taking the win 14-5.

There were 16 safe hits to the Tigers team in a good display of batting, with big hits finding space.

Safe hits for the Tigers came from Jesse Foster 2, Matt Thompson 2, Sam Shepperd 3, Garth Ransom 3, Jake England 1, Garrett Ha 3, Riley Rolph 3 and Harrison Elletson 1.

While South had some good patches of play during the game also managed to bring some safe hits home.

Tarkyn Morale, Jesse Balshaw, Travis Lockwood, Ryan Placucci and Ryan Walter all hit one.

It was a good game to start with, but the Tigers’ experience outweighed the young South team.
