University students welcomed

The University of South Australia Mount Gambier Campus has been busy welcoming almost 100 commencing students recently.

The students are studying the diverse range of degree programs offered locally including Education, Nursing, Midwifery, Social Work, Business or a UniSA Online degree, or a pathway program such as Foundation Studies, Diplomas or Aboriginal Pathways Program.

Most students who study at the University of South Australia Mount Gambier campus work in local schools, health care and human services or local businesses after graduating.

UniSA Regional Manager Ian McKay said it had been wonderful to see a new group of students commencing their studies locally.

“The vibe on campus was tremendous at our Orientation Day and we have arranged a number of UniVibe social events in the next few weeks to help students get to know other students,” he said.

Depending on which program students are studying UniSA Mount Gambier Campus will be each student’s study home for between a year or up to five years.
