Vandals strike at Millicent

Vandals damaged property at the Millicent Golf Club overnight on Sunday.

Club president Mark Pilmore said it would appear a motorbike churned up the seventh green at the course at Mount Burr.

Mr Pilmore has reported the wilful damage to police and said the green remained playable.

“We had a competition on Sunday for most of the day and then our groundsman found the vandalism at 6am the following day when he was doing his rounds,” Mr Pilmore said.

In an unrelated incident last month, there was a minor scrub fire on golf course land.

The blaze was controlled by CFS crews and no property damage was caused.
