Young stars on route for Tasmania

Five junior Limestone Coast hockey players will travel to Tasmania to play in the School Sports Championships in August.

The Mount Gambier and Naracoorte hockey players were last week announced in the School Sports SA under 12 side.

Kade McCourt, Jesse Mitchell, Jada Copping, Rubi Watson and Harriet Waters were all selected to represent SA after they impressed at recent trials held in Adelaide.

The group will travel to Hobart to compete in a week-long competition which will see them up against the best juniors from all over the country.

It is terrific representation for the Lower and Upper South East regions, and shows the strength of local junior hockey, with all five athletes competing in the Under 12 and Under 15 competitions in Mount Gambier.
