Car and bike collide

Police attended a collision on Penola Road, Mount Gambier, just before 1pm on Saturday after a car collided with a cyclist.

The rider of the bike, a 63-year-old Mount Gambier man, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the Mount Gambier Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the car, a 66-year-old Penola man, was also taken to hospital following the crash for observation.

Both were discharged from hospital later that night.

A police spokesperson said the cyclist was expected to be issued with an expiation notice for changing lanes to danger.
