‘Ag title’ on the line

The five South Australian towns set to vie for the title of 2022 Agricultural Town of the Year have been named and none of the South East towns made the short list.

A public vote decided the finalists from 54 nominated towns, with 4100 votes received.

The five towns still in the running to win the 2022 Agricultural Town of the Year award are Orroroo and Crystal Brook in the Yorke and Mid North district, Kapunda in the Barossa, Light and Lower Light district and Mypolonga and Waikerie in the Murray River and Mallee district.

The South East nominations in 2022 were Mount Gambier, Millicent, Beachport, Bordertown, Kingston, Naracoorte and Mundulla.

All finalists are within a two-hour drive of Adelaide.

The awards are promoted by the State Government and an Adelaide media company.
