The all-new Nissan Pathfinder has received a ground-up overhaul for 2023 to convey a sense of strength and capability, helping to maximise each family adventure with premium connectivity and more comfort than ever before.
The re-energised exterior of the Pathfinder features a bold, wide stance accentuated by Nissan’s signature V-Motion front grille, wheel arch flares and a shortened front end overhang, while rounding out the rear of the vehicle is a large satin chrome PATHFINDER badging to complete the rugged re-design.
Ensuring the stylish Nissan SUV is clearly visible to oncoming road users are LED headlights in the manufacturer’s modern signature design, while the full LED treatment has also been given to the vehicle’s tail lights, daytime running lights, fog lights, high-mount stop light and turn signals, making each drive – whether day or night – an absolute delight.
The all-new Pathfinder is powered by a 3.5-litre petrol V6 engine with 202kW of power driven to the wheels through a 9-speed automatic transmission and 4×4 drivetrain, helping get power to the ground through 18-inch machine faced alloy wheels and sticky Kumho tyres.
Nissan has ensured the Pathfinder maintains it’s 2700kg braked towing capacity to allow owners to hook up the family caravan or boat and head out on adventures of all varieties.
With paint colours to suit all flavours, Nissan has coated the Pathfinder’s panels in Ivory White, Brilliant Silver, Gun Metallic, Super Black, Deep Ocean Blue Pearl, Scarlet Ember and Glacier White, while for an additional touch of spice a black roof option is available on Ivory White, Gun Mettalic, Boulder Grey and Scarlet Ember models.
Mount Gambier’s OGR Nissan allowed The SE Voice to check out the Pathfinder Ti recently to put it through its paces and it did not disappoint. The classy black leather accented interior trim provided ample space for it’s eight occupants, with third-row seating receiving synthetic leather-look trim.
A new high-definition 9-inch touchscreen display with satellite navigation, wireless Apple CarPlay and wired Android Auto functionality is easy to use and view from all angles to stream your favourite audio through a top quality Bose 13-speaker premium audio system which includes dual subwoofers.
To cater for the digital age we live in Nissan has also ensured there is a host of charging options throughout the cabin, with two USB ports upfront, two charge ports for middle row occupants and a third-row charging port to accompany the wireless smartphone charge pad and a 12-volt outlet situated in the instrument panel and one out back in the cargo area.
The driveability of the all-new Nissan Pathfinder was also highly impressive.
Minimal road noise was heard throughout the cabin and it was smooth-sailing across all types of terrain to go hand in hand with smooth and precise acceleration and braking.
A host of safety features ensure each journey is made easy with intelligent around view monitoring and moving object detection, rear view camera and front and rear parking sensors,, forward collision warning and emergency braking, rear cross traffic and blind spot alerts and intelligent lane departure, cruise control and driver alerts just a taste of some of the features included as standard.
Traffic sign recognition makes maintaining the right speed easy when paired with the heads up display, while tyre pressure monitoring, trailer sway control, vehicle dynamic control land traction control also make towing a breeze.
With two variations of the Nissan SUV currently available for the Australian market, the Pathfinder Ti is priced from $77,559 driveaway, while the Pathfinder Ti-L adds a bit more spice with pricing starting at $88,171.
Some of the additional features of Pathfinder Ti-L include a large tilt and slide electric sunroof with panoramic glass roof, second row slide, recline and fold down captain’s chairs with a seven-seat (2:2:3) configuration, a large 12.3 TFT advanced drive assist display instrument cluster and intelligent rear view mirror just to name a few.
