Lego ‘legends’ build reputation

Agroup of students recently represented their school at a national level with their skills in an ever-popular hobby challenge.

St Martins Lutheran College Lego League Year 5 students Beau, Cody, Imogen and Harvey travelled to Tasmania last month to compete in the Lego League National South Competition in Ulverstone.

Their team ‘The Saints Lego Legends’ placed 22nd out of 42 teams for their robot game and scored well for their innovation project with the judges commenting their presentation was engaging and innovative.

The students held their own against some fierce competitors including secondary students from South Australia, Tasmania and Victoria.

A St Martins Lutheran College spokesperson said the students should be very proud of their efforts and the way they represented the school on a national level.
