Everything to play for

Everything to play for

Kalangadoo will host week two of Limestone Coast Women’s Football League finals football action this Sunday.

Kongorong will play South Gambier at 11am and this is set to be a great contest as both sides have had some tough battles in recent weeks.

The Hawks are coming off a loss last week against Kybybolite while the Demons are coming off a win against Millicent.

It will be a wakeup call for the flying Hawks as they will need to be on the money come Sunday or South will over run them and it will be season over.

On any given day Kongorong is good enough to take it right up to the best teams in the competition with coach Michael Dethmore at the helm.

South Gambier had a slow start to the season but has come on in leaps and bounds under coach Heath Sims.

It will take a team effort from Kongorong and will need their leaders in Evie Sealey, Jade Longbottom, Sarah Lucas, Sophie Longbottom, Riley Buckingham and Sheree Ailey to be 100 % focused.

The Demons will look to Jarrah Altschwager, Sophie Wight, Ella Guest, Dakota Trotter and Chloe Lines to lead their side.

In the second match of the day, Casterton Sandford will take on North Gambier at 12.35pm.

Every time this season these teams have met it has been a hard, fast, tough game of football.

The Tigers are coming off a good win against the Eagles last week while the Cats suffered a loss to the powerhouse of the competition Mundulla.

North will use their strength around the ground along with their speedsters while the Cats are sure to demonstrate their tough tactics as they did in round six to get the win over the Tigers.

For North Gambier to advance to the big dance they will have to be completely focused and will look to Fiona Young, Mikalia Pitt, Emmerson lIsley, Grace Altschwager and Alice Tentye and for the Cats they will need the experience of Scarlett Jarrad, Emma Lynch, Libby Altorfer, Gabrielle Sullivan and Amelia

Thomas.
