Art spectacle unveiled at Kalangadoo

Aspectacular wall mural at the Kalangadoo primary school was officially unveiled last week in conjunction with the school’s biggest morning tea.

Students participated in an assembly prior to the unveiling, when they displayed their work to family and friends to show what they have been learning.

Students and guests then moved to the mural where it was unveiled by artist Wendy Dixon-Whiley.

Wendy was a former student at the Kalangadoo primary school and was very pleased that she could come back for the unveiling.

Following the unveiling students, staff and families enjoyed a biggest morning tea which was a fundraiser for the Cancer Council.

Students were involved in the creation and design of the mural.

They participated in a workshop to create mindful monsters and they were to consider what they might look like as a monster.

Wendy said primary school children were so naturally creative and think completely outside the box.
