memory

The Lower South East Hockey association will pay tribute to a beloved community member Annie Anderson with a special evening in her honour at Blue Lake Sports Park on Saturday.

Annie was tragically killed in a motor vehicle accident late last year, leaving regional hockey communities across South Australia and Victoria in mourning.

Annie travelled in her trusty van all across the regions, providing access to hockey equipment to even the smallest associations, and was known to regularly drop off a new stick or some shoes if she knew they were needed.

Her passion, commitment and generosity to hockey was phenomenal and she was a wealth of knowledge on what was going on around the hockey community.

More than that, she was a tremendous friend, coach and team mate to many in the LSEHA, and her kindness, generosity and wicked sense of humour are sorely missed.

The LSEHA invites everyone to celebrate her life, starting from 6pm.

There will be an exhibition game and an unveiling of a permanent memorial for Annie, along with food vans and drinks specials.
