Two Limestone Coast youngsters have been selected in the South Australian under 18 baseball side, set to showcase their skills in the upcoming 2023 School Sport Australia Championships.
Mount Gambier High School student Blake McAdam and Millicent High School’s Ellis Cushion will play in the national championships, to be held in Lismore, New South Wales, in May.
McAdam plays for the Federals in the local Mount Gambier and Districts Baseball League, while Cushion plays for the Bandits.
Cushion and McAdam will be coached by Burke Weber, a member of the 1988 SA championship side.
The South Australian side will face stiff competition from other states across the country.
