Blanketed in kindness

Green Triangle Livestock & Real Estate is the latest business to join The SE Voice winter warmth campaign, donating blankets to ac.care to keep vulnerable members of our community warm this winter.

Green Triangle Livestock & Real Estate sales consultant Elisha Beare said working in the real estate industry meant staff saw first-hand the rising cost of living, subsequently increasing the levels of homelessness in the region.

“We do see that need first-hand of people saying, ‘where am I going to live?’ and ‘what am I going to do?’,” she said.

“We do not have the houses to meet the demand.

“It was important to us for the donation to go to the local community because we have so much going on here.”

Green Triangle Livestock & Real Estate administration manager Bernie Manser said the business just wanted to be a part of making the world, a child and another person’s life a better place.

“Obviously availability of homes and the increasing rent is causing an issue in the housing situation especially for those lower income families who cannot afford those really high rents,” she said.

“We do encourage everyone to get on board and not just for this particular campaign but anything that helps people in need.

“Everyone can give something.”
