Meals distributed to care organisation

There are some slight changes taking place at the successful Millicent Shares a Plate venture.

Each Thursday, volunteers prepare the free meals at the Millicent RSL Hall on North Terrace and they are available for collection from approximately 3.30pm to 4.15pm.

Until now, any leftover meals have been taken to the fridge at the IGA supermarket in George Street for collection.

From April 4, surplus meals will be taken to the ac.care office in George Street for collection on Friday.

A small quantity will be taken to Millicent IGA if not collected by 4.15pm on Thursday from the Millicent RSL Hall.

If all meals are taken from the Millicent RSL Hall, there will be no meals in the IGA fridge.

Meanwhile, the Millicent Shares a Plate volunteers have been buoyed by a recent $500 donation from Woolworths.
