Ross Bond claimed the $100 winner’s voucher after sneaking home to win the Thursday Stableford competition at the Mount Gambier Golf Club last week.
Bond got home on a count-back from an unlucky Henry Forbes with both players finishing with 40 Stableford points.
Robert Sims finished third on 39 points with a trio of players in Graham Greenwood, Ian Ewart and Dennis Smith all posting 38 points.
The good scoring meant that players needed 36 points or better to claim a ball with Grant Stephenson being the unlucky player to miss out on count back.
Nearest the pin was claimed by Mark Teakle on the eighth and Terry Janeway on the 16th with both players rolling in their birdie putts as well.
No wind and just a sprinkling of rain made golfing a pleasure on Saturday but no one enjoyed the conditions more than David Pick compiling the round of the day with 43 Stableford points.
The 10-handicapper had two birdies and five bogeys to post an impressive 75 off the stick and take out the A grade.
In B grade Mathew Dixon claimed top spot from Tim MacClean on a count back after both players posted 37 points.
In C grade Charlie Finch claimed the honours from David Millard with their respective rounds of 35 and 34 points.
The ball rundown extended to 33 points and nearest the pins went to Ross Lofty Anderson on the eighth and John Shirley on the 16th.
