Bowling a hoot for Night Owls players

The contingent of Millicent Bowls Club Night Owls players enjoyed ideal conditions last week.

The only downside was the strong wind, but that is something bowlers are used to and people of all ages still enjoyed their night.

Touches went to Nick Waring (Gizzies Crew) 4, Mike Bleby (Lions) 4, Kruger Nitscke (Rotary) 4, David Thorneycroft (lions Roar) 3, Bill Chapman (Grand Hotel) 3, Pam Packer (Birdies) 4 and Mark Skeer (X Factor) 3.

Sparkies were unstoppable in Red Division.

Chris Earl, Scott Lonergan, Terry Lonergan and Bob Reilly defeated Bits and Pieces 29+22, while other winners were Untouchables 27+4, Max’s Four 27+3, Jack Attack 27+1 and Rovers 26+4.

The Birdies team of Pam Packer, Janet Watson, Robin Rolfe and Mary Dawson were the best in Blue Division.

They defeated Awesome Foursome 29+12, while Grand Hotel 29+10, Maccas 28+12, Lions 27+5 and Somerset Seniors 27+6 also tasted success.

Margaret Lang, Jan Buhlmann, Oor Grovenor and Joy Warren of the Miss Fitts topped White Division defeating Mayurra Mob 28+18.

Lions Roar 27+7, The Pups 27+1 and Lion Cubs 26+2 also impressed scoring wins, while Bedford Butterflies and Gizzies Crew had a draw.
