Last week the Millicent Bowls Club held their Ladies Championship Singles.

Heather Carthew and Lyn Scudds made it to the grand final which was played over 25 ends.

By the 8th end the score was tied at 6 shots each.

Carthew then scored 5 shots.

Scudds was able to win the next 4 ends to set the score at 16 shots to 13.

By the 23rd end the score again was tied at 17 shots each.

Carthew was able to win 4 of the next 6 ends to finish the game with the final score, up 26 shots to 20.

The late surge saw Carthew claim the title of Singles Champion for the 2022/23 season.
