Superstars head west

Two Mount Gambier racers will head west this weekend for the 2024 Perth SuperSprint in the Dunlop Super2 Series.

Reigning Super2 champ Kai Allen has had a perfect start to the season as he currently sits first in the driver standings with two wins and 300 points and has a good gap of 42 points ahead of second placed driver Aaron Cameron.

Jobe Stewart is trailing Allen as he currently sits seventh in the standings with 192 points.

Allen will be a heavy favourite going into the weekend after winning both races in the last round at Mount Panorama.

Stewart had an up-and-down weekend at Bathurst, finishing 19th in the first race then having a good performance in the second race, finishing second to Allen by only the smallest of margins.

The pair will be going into this weekend in great form as Stewart will be looking to get another podium finish and Allen will be aiming to keep his top spot in the racer standings.

Allen and Stewart will qualify for Race 1 on Saturday at 12.30pm then they will race later in the afternoon.

On Sunday Allen and Stewart will qualify for Race 2 in the morning then they will have their final race of the weekend at 3:45pm.
