AFurner beef cattle stud has achieved a total clearance of the 50 bulls it entered for sale at a major interstate auction earlier this month.
Woonallee Simmentals has thanked all the buyers and under bidders at its 3rd Annual Tamworth Sale in New Suth Wales.
“We are truly thankful for the support shown in our program,” stated the stud.
“Congratulations to GB livestock and ABS Global – Australia Beef for topping the sale and purchasing Woonallee Toronto T274 for $55,000.
“It was an outstanding day selling all 50 bulls for an average of $11,860.”
On a sadder note, Woonallee Simmentals has farewelled one of its best bulls last month.
Woonallee BHR Tornado died on July 4.
“A sad day here at Woonallee but great things never last forever,” the stud said.
“His contribution to our herd and the Simmental breed is unsurpassed.
“At over 15 years of age he had longevity on his side and was a true breed legend.”
