CFS called to fuel leak

The operations of the Kimberly-Clark Australia Millicent Mill were not affected by a mishap on Thursday in its northern car park off Glen’s Lane.

The diesel fuel tank of a truck had ruptured and so the Tantanoola CFS was mobilised at 5.30pm.

A spokesperson from the headquarters of KCA in Sydney said the truck was located in the designated truck- parking area.

“However, as it was not located within the Millicent Mill’s operational area, it had no impact on our operations,” the spokesperson said.

“The Millicent Mill team assisted and called the CFS.”

Meanwhile, in an unrelated incident that day in Millicent, a vehicle ran off Stringybark Drive at 7.30am and collided with a tree.

The driver was able to extricate themselves from their vehicle.

The incident was attended by two Millicent CFS appliances and the SA Ambulance Service.
