The 400 employees and contractors at the Kimberly-Clark Australia (KCA) Millicent Mill have recently donated over $5000 to three local charities enabling them to continue providing critical services for the wider community.
Donated through the company’s Community Care Program, which has been operating for over 20 years and is independent from the KCA’s formal donation scheme, the money has been fundraised by Millicent Mill personnel in a variety of ways including everything from recycling bottles and cans or circulating donation tins.
The 2024 beneficiaries are the Royal Flying Doctors Service, Wattle Range Suicide Prevention Network and 4 Reasons Why,
These donations are considered vital to the continuous operation and sustainability of these organisations.
Millicent Mill manager Adam Carpenter has expressed his pride in the donations.
“Kimberly-Clark Australia and its employees have a long history of supporting local initiatives and charities – and I’m delighted that we have been able to make a donation to three worthwhile causes again this year,” Mr Carpenter said.
“The collective efforts of the team at Millicent Mill to fundraise for the Community Care Program exemplifies the company’s commitment to making a meaningful difference to the wider community around us.
“We’re looking forward to delivering further support and donations to local causes in the years to come.”
