Christmas Eve celebrations planned

The festive season will be boosted in Millicent on December 24 with a range of special promotional activities arranged by the Millicent Business Community Association.

The trading group had surveyed its members about the usually quiet period whenever Christmas Eve falls on a Saturday as it does in 2022.

With MBCA members endorsing the concept, lots of activities are planned for the businesses in George and Davenport streets between 9am and 5pm.

Heading the guest list will be that jolly man in a red suit and he will be available for photo sessions with youngsters.

Other attractions include Elves on the Shelves, Pinata bashing, face painting, Christmas biscuit decorating, Family “Speed” Christmas Tree decorating, basketball throwing contests and present wrapping competitions.

Specials and amazing retailer Christmas deals will be offered by MBCA members and the winners of decorated houses and businesses will be announced.
