Aseaside church is being marketed by a Mount Gambier real estate firm via the expressions of interest process.
The final service of Saint Thomas’ Anglican Church at Port MacDonnell was held in October.
The 125-year-old stone building was then de-consecrated and closed.
Due to declining attendances, regular services have not been held at the Church Street property in recent years.
“Character and traditional charm are shown throughout this solid stone build with stunning high timber ceilings and lancet windows throughout,” stated the agents.
The foundation stone of Saint Thomas had been laid on September 10, 1896 by Thomas Edwards, of Mount Schank.
A stone hall with a kitchen and toilets was erected over 50 years ago but it is not part of the sale process.
