East Gambier v South Gambier
South Gambier will take on the Doggies this week at the Kennel.
The Dees took care of East back in round 1 by 83 points and since then the Doggies are still hunting for their first win.
After a down season last year South has reloaded and look better than ever under the coaching of Peter Duncan.
South are coming off a solid win over the Cats where they had seven players on the goal list.
They will need to share the ball well in this game and get off to a good start.
The Doggies had a solid game last week but could not get the job done against a good West side.
Shaun Lock and Carl Slape will need to continue their form from last week heading into this game with both players kicking three goals last week.
North Gambier v West Gambier
North and West will face off this week with this game looking like it’s going to be a ripper.
Back in round 1 West scraped by with a three point win over North so the Tigers will be out for revenge in this game.
To add more fire into the Tigers’ bellies they are also coming off a tough one point loss and will be eager to get back on the winners’ list.
West had an interesting game against East last week where they had a big third quarter and got out to a big lead but then let the Doggies back into the game in the fourth quarter and ended up only winning by 11 points.
The Roos cannot afford to do that against a side like North because the Tigers will make them pay more than East did.
Millicent v Casterton Sandford
Casterton Sandford will travel to Millicent this week to take on the Saints.
Last time these two teams faced each other in round 1 Millicent got the job done by 73 points.
Callum Currie will be a key player in this game for the Cats as he has been playing some good footy over the past couple of weeks, kicking four against the Dees last week and three the week before against the Roos.
He will need to be at his goal scoring best this week against the Saints if the Cats want to pick up a win away from home.
The Saints have had a couple of stressful weeks, winning by one point last week and then losing by a point the week prior.
They are sure to look to replicate their round 1 form against Casterton come Saturday.
