City police investigate 
disturbing
 school incident

About 2pm on Friday, August 6 a girl was on the Mulga Street Primary School oval when an unknown man spoke to her from the footpath of Mulga Street and suggested she leave the school with him.

The student declined and returned to her classroom.

The man left on foot and was last seen walking north on Mulga Street.

A police spokesperson said the child was not injured as a result of the incident which was later reported to police.

“There were no threats to harm the child,” the spokesperson said.

“Police have undertaken overt and plain-clothed patrols in the area since.

“No further incidents or sightings have been reported.

“The occurrence is being treated as an isolated incident.”

The man was described as being aged in his 30s, wearing a surgical face mask, however he was seen to have a brown beard and moustache.

He was wearing a black hooded jumper, black tracksuit pants and black shoes with distinctive rips at the toes with grey socks.

“Police are investigating this matter and ask anyone who witnessed this incident or has information that may lead to the identity of the man to please contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au,” the spokesperson said.
