Coastal forums scheduled

Community forums are to be held on a quarterly basis by the Robe District Council this year in the Robe Institute.

The December monthly council meeting endorsed a multi-part motion from Councillor Marcia Dening.

The first community forum is to be held in February followed by May, August and November.

According to the successful motion of Cr Dening, the community forums are to be promoted as an opportunity to bring community and elected members together to discuss any topics of interest or importance to community members.

The format for the forum is to be limited to one hour with community members encouraged to register their topic prior to the forum date.

At the conclusion of each quarterly forum, an opportunity to chat in a social setting will be encouraged with light refreshments provided.

The success of the forums will be evaluated at the end of 2023 which will determine the program for 2024.
