Colourful school holiday fun

The recent Colour Run in Millicent proved to be one of the most popular events staged by Wattle Range Council over the summer holiday period.

As part of the Full Throttle in Wattle, program, around 50 youngsters converged on Lions Park.

They were covered in colourful powders, slid on a giant water slide and enjoyed a free sausage sizzle cooked by members of the Millicent Lions Club.

The Colour Run also marked the culmination of the Ridersafe program over the school holidays and conducted by the council and SAPOL.

Police officers and council general inspectors issued free raffle tickets to youngsters on bikes who were observed following the road rules.

The lucky drawer first prize was a BMX bike and it went to Skye Wooding while consolation pries were won by Halo Lloyd and Hazel Bellin.
