Business centre approval granted

The green light has been given for a block of shops and a medical centre to service a new 345-block housing sub-division near Mount Gambier.

The Limestone Coast Southern Assessment Panel recently met and authorised the development subject to conditions.

There will five new shops on Pinehall Avenue at Suttontown along with a medical centre with four consulting rooms.

Planning approval has already been given for a new child care centre in that area.

The Panel considered an 18-page report from its planning staff.

Beachport consultant planner Frank Brennan addressed the panel in person on behalf of the developer.

Dubbed the “Limestone Estate”, the development occupies almost 36 hectares.
