Millicent is hosting two fundraisers on Saturday with varying degrees of formality.
Three prominent charities will be the beneficiaries of the inaugural 5280 Charity Ball.
Proceeds from the gala event will be divided between the Wattle Range Hospital Auxiliary, Millicent Cancer Support Group and the Royal Flying Doctor Service.
Taking its name from the postcode for Millicent, the function will be staged from 6.30pm at the Millicent War Memorial Civic and Arts Centre.
The $150-per-head admission fee is all inclusive and covers canapes, dinner, sweets and drinks.
The Baker Boys Band, from Adelaide, will ensure the party mood lasts all night.
Bookings for the 5280 Charity Ball may be made at South East Property Sales and Management.
Meanwhile, an all-local lineup will feature from mid-afternoon at Rock on the Rails in the former Millicent railyards.
Rock on the Rails is a grass-roots music festival which celebrates live and local music for all ages.
It will feature six live acts including Jack Lane, Oath, F.R.F, Incarnation, Smelling Salts, Stamina and Jason Baker.
Lane will open the outdoors concert and then be a part of the final hour on stage as a member of Oath.
Pop-up food and beverage stalls will be on-site and the event is a fundraiser for Millicent community radio station 5THE FM.
Personnel from Bowman Earthmovers have been preparing the venue which is a ticketed function.
