Along-established Millicent company has recently won two important industry accolades.

Teagle Contracting Pty Ltd was presented with the President’s Lifetime Achievement Corporate Award at the 2023 Civil Contractors Federation of South Australia Industry Training Awards Gala Presentation Night at the Adelaide Convention Centre.

With a long-standing association with the Civil Contractors Federation (SA), Teagle Contracting Pty Ltd has emerged as a trusted name in the civil construction industry.

From his home on Williams Road, Millicent in 1960, Len Teagle (now deceased) started Teagle Contracting, where the business still operates from today.

The business now occupies 33,000 square metres, including workshops, weighbridges, and offices.

Teagle Contracting Pty Ltd continues to shape the landscape of construction and infrastructure, driven by their commitment to excellence, innovation, and client satisfaction.

With a track record of successful projects and a dedication to quality, they are at the forefront of the industry, creating a lasting impact on the communities they serve.

Meanwhile, Kurt Stephan from Teagle Contracting Pty Ltd won the Manager of the Year Award at the same function.

Mr Stephan moved to Millicent from the oil and gas industry in 2016 and started at Teagle Contracting as manager with the task of upgrading and implementing safety systems.

While improving the company’s systems and processes, Mr Stephan encouraged the team to participate in identifying issues and then collaboratively seek solutions.

His passion for bringing youth to an ageing workforce ensures that all trainees and apprentices are offered a high level of support and encouraged to reach their full potential.

During his time at the helm, the workforce of Teagle Contracting Pty Ltd has grown from 14 to 35.
