Local businessman John Payne has been re-elected unopposed for a third term as the president of the Millicent Racing Club.
The annual general meeting was held at the Somerset Hotel recently.
Treasurer Ron Wood tabled a positive financial report with the club’s coffers once again boosted by the successful agistment of sheep on the 100 broad acres of the Millicent racecourse.
Meanwhile, planning continues for Millicent’s once-a-year meeting.
The 2023 Millicent Cup has been set down for May 28 at the Allan Scott Racecourse at Glenburnie.
