Customers of the Two Spoons Coffee House in Millicent were strong supporters of Do It For Dolly Day on Friday.
It was a day dedicated to bringing the community together, spreading kindness and uniting in taking a stand against bullying.
Regular customer Margie Gysbers was happy to make a donation to the charity which runs anti-bullying initiatives.
She was also willing to dress in blue which is the colour of Dolly’s Dream and Do It For Dolly Day.
“I am here everyday as I love the coffee, the atmosphere and the staff,” Margie said.
“I have heard of Dolly’s Dream and it is a very good cause.”
Two Spoons proprietor Haylie Callow told The SE Voice of another example of generosity from a customer.
“He gathered up all the coins that were lying about his vehicle,” she said.
“His pockets were bulging when he walked into the shop and he donated all the coins to the cause.”
She has the tip jar out on the front counter for the month of May with all funds going to Dolly’s Dream.
The Two Spoons shop was decorated in blue last week and had the blue butterfly emblem for Dolly’s Dream.
Among the other causes to be supported by Two Spoons staff in the past year have been Foster Kids which required them to wear pyjamas while R U OK Day prompted the wearing of yellow-colored clothes.
