The former Davis Brothers business will be the focus of the first meeting of the South East Family History Group in 2023.
The family firm was a prominent retailer across the South East for much of the 20th century.
Many old-timers would recall one of its outlets sold tyres and batteries in Commercial Street East in Mount Gambier.
Family member Bill Davis will address the history group meeting at 7.30pm on February 23 at its Millicent research centre.
Mr Davis has been the proprietor of Millicent Toy Kingdom for the past 35 years and he runs the Kentish Pace business in association with his wife Helen.
It was elevated to the Millicent Business Community Association Hall of Fame in 2022.
Mr Davis has always been community-minded as seen by such past roles as president of the Millicent Business Community Association and chairman of the Millicent High School Governing Council.
He is a keen motorsport enthusiast and a member of the Upper Snuggery Racing Team.
