Drivers revved up for Super Sedan title

Borderline Speedway will again rev into action on Saturday, April 2 with the running of the 2022 South Australian Super Sedan title.

Spectators will witness some of the country’s best Super Sedan drivers take to the “Bullring” in what is anticipated to be a superb night of racing.

A solid list of drivers have nominated for the event including Australian champion Matty Pascoe and South Australian and Victorian champion Mick Nicola Jr.

Other drivers to keep an eye on will be South Australians Paul Blenkiron, Kym Jury and Kym Leyson while Dave Nicholls, Steve Latham and Wayne Dillon are coming from Tasmania.

All in all, any of these drivers can secure the title if the night goes well for them barring no incidents.

With most drivers coming off a weekend at the opening of the new Eastern Creek Speedway in Sydney and another at Whyalla for some track time, they will be looking forward to turning some laps around the Borderline circuit.

In support for the Super Sedan title will be the F500s and these fast-paced rockets will provide some tight and fun racing, with locals Josh Munn, Jordan Mansell and Ryan Harry on the card the other competitors will have their work cut out for them.

Munn should be in good form coming off his maiden feature win at Horsham’s Blue Ribbon Raceway a few weeks back and has had plenty of seat time behind the wheel

Mansell and Munn also ran in the F500’s Southern 500 at Portland Speedway.

Street Stock action will again be on show with the Blue Lake classic.

These cars always put on good racing either going clockwise or anti-clockwise showing the drivers’ adaptability in close, tight racing.

Some of the names to look out for in the class will be Jason Duell, Josh Triffit, Scott Merrett and Anthony Beare, who is currently building a new car and hopes to be out there tearing it up on the night.

Action will be plentiful and fast from all classes on the night.
