‘Quickest Chicken’ heads down under

Chase Randall is headed south… Way down south.

The Waco, Texas throttle stomper is known as ‘the Quickest Chicken’ in the USA due in no small part to the tag line for Bush’s Chicken, one of Chase’s sponsors, that adorns his immaculate #9 EMi chassis but also for the speed at which he drives.

Randall and his family based themselves just a stone’s throw from the world-famous Knoxville Raceway this past USA summer focusing mainly on his 360ci program.

He found time to run both wing and non-winged 360 and 410 competitions with over 12 visits to victory lane between those four disciplines in 2022.

Most recently he swept the Jesse Hockett Memorial weekend in 410 non wing action.

A chance conversation about Australia in their Knoxville workshop during an interview with Wade Aunger for Knoxville Raceway’s social media has now firmed into a deal with Danny Mayson at DKM Motorsport in Pakenham for Chase and the Randall family to head ‘Down Under’.

Randall will make his Australian debut with Danny and the Mayson family at DKM racing a variety of events across a variety of States between late December and late January.

“Chase is one hell of a driver,” Aunger said.

“I could tell within minutes of meeting the Randall family they were committed to every aspect of Chase’s racing program.

“They do everything with purpose and with commitment. They are determined to see Chase get to the top and I think he will.

“Man, that kid can drive.”

For DKM (and EZPRINT and This Speedway Life) principal Danny Mayson this represents a dream come true.

“My brother Kyle and I have wanted to have a professional race-car driver in our car for as long as we can both remember,” Mayson said.

“The opportunity to put a young star on the rise like Chase in our car for some of the biggest races in the country this summer is a dream come true.

“I cannot wait.”

For Randall, the opportunity is a dream for him as well.

“I have heard a lot of great things about racing Down Under and we cannot wait to experience it,” he said.

“Some of the best American drivers always go south for the winter to keep racing and running laps.

“It’s an honor to be invited down and have an opportunity to race with Australia’s best.

“I cannot thank Danny and his DKM team enough for the invitation to race in Australia.”

The Texas teenager will make his Australian debut on December 26 and will definitely include at least one visit to Mount Gambier’s Borderline Speedway.
