EveryBODY is Beautiful

EveryBODY is Beautiful

With body image negativity a significant issue in society, Mount Gambier duo Reanna Wetherall and Louise Agnew are making moves with their ‘EveryBODY is Beautiful’ campaign to send a powerful message to the community.

The pair gathered eight locals each with different bodies to step out of their comfort zone and embrace their bodies together, with Ms Agnew capturing the special moments.

“It was such a beautiful environment,” Ms Wetherall said. The campaign is a passion project which runs until Sunday, November 8, with plenty more content to come until the final date.

Each night at 7pm a new photo is uploaded to Louise Agnew Photography on Facebook and @louiseagnew and @bestversionofyou_immiandre on Instagram.

As mums with kids as the drive behind the campaign, Ms Wetherall and Ms Agnew said they wanted their children to grow up wholeheartedly happy and comfortable with themselves and their bodies.

“We want our kids to know what you see on the outside doesn’t change what a person is on the inside,” Ms Wetherall told The SE Voice.

“I hope our kids are the ones that help spread this message.”

The pair is proud of the message they are sharing and hope it inspires people to change their mindset of how they perceive both their own and others’ bodies.

“I believe it comes down to each and every individual person to change the way they talk about their own bodies and the way they talk about other people’s bodies … just don’t talk about other people’s bodies,” Ms Agnew said.

“We are all beautiful and our body does not define us.”

“Everyone is entitled to have their insecurities, but you just can’t dwell on it all the time,” Ms Wetherall said.

Ms Wetherall and Ms Agnew said the support received for the campaign was incredible.

“We did not care if this got zero attention at all … it is just our passion and we really wanted to help people,” Ms Wetherall said.

Ms Agnew said the people she photographed were comfortable and happy in their own skin on the day of the shoot and that was the best reward.
