Member for MacKillop Nick McBride certainly subscribes to the old maxim that “every dog has his day”.

Last week he released a light-hearted photograph to mark “Happy Dogs in Politics Day”.

It was taken on his family’s farming property Conmurra Station midway between Millicent and Kingston.

“Today we celebrate our four-legged friends like dear old Goldie and her daughter Polly,” Mr McBride said.

“They are not really office dogs; they love their life on the farm, riding on the back of the motorbike and rounding up sheep.

“So, thank you Goldie and Polly for being my faithful friends.”
