Family reunion makes for very happy Easter

For the first time in 10 years a Penola family came together for a surprise reunion over Easter.

John and Maureen McDonald, their 10 children and their partners and 13 grandchildren were able to celebrate this special occasion.

The family celebration was held over lunch that turned into an afternoon of fun and extended into dinner.

“I am just so thrilled that all of us could be together again. It is a memory that I will never forget,” Maureen said.

While the happy couple had some knowledge there was a family celebration they were in for a surprise when they arrived to find all 10 of their children were
there.

Apart from living in Penola other children travelled from the Philippines, Tasmania, Queensland, Adelaide and Mount Gambier.
