Fan-favourite Pioneer signs on

The OneFortyOne Pioneers are ecstatic to have re-signed 188cm American Haliegh Reinoehl for the 2023 NBL1 South season.

Reinoehl was one of two overseas imports who were key players in the OneFortyOne Pioneers roster in 2022 and for her to be the first player to have re-signed with the Pioneers for 2023 is massive news for the club.

Twenty-five-year-old Reinoehl played four years of college basketball in the starting five with Akron with her performances improving with each successive year.

In 2020-21 she played in Switzerland averaging 17.5 ppg and 9.3 rpg.

In her debut season for the Pioneers Reinoehl experienced some disruption with a broken hand early in the season but still played 19 matches averaging 11.05 points and 6.89 rebounds per game and was an important part of the team’s success.

Head Coach Matt Sutton is thrilled that Reinoehl will be back in town for 2023.

“I am extremely happy to have Haliegh back with our program for another year,” he said.

She was an extremely positive influence on our program and within the community during 2022.

“She had a disrupted season with the hand break, so we look forward to her having a full and healthy season.

“She will come back an even better player for 2023.

“Reinoehl was a fan favourite in 2022 due to her commitment to the team and competitive nature on the court, so Pioneers fans will love having her back in club colours for another season.”
